From the hills of Italy to the Louisiana bayou country…

The market does a brisk business with lunch and dinner trade, take-out orders, catering, wine sales and their gift shop.

Randazzo’s Italian Market in Denham Springs opened to rave reviews last year, and their customers are just as pleased today. The only problem has been their limited seating, so they have added several tables to an outdoor patio. With the beautiful fall weather of late, what better place to having a relaxing lunch or dinner with a plate of authentic Italian pasta and a glass of wine?

They have also expanded their catering services due to popular demand. Whether a business meeting, family coming over, a birthday or holiday, Randazzo’s can help with any catering event or cooking emergency. Choose from platters of muffaletta and other sandwiches, meats, cheese or salad, or pasta dishes of lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs or chicken parmigiano. For dessert, enjoy bread pudding, tiramisu or canolis. Start thinking now about your upcoming holiday catering needs.

When you visit Randazzo’s Italian Market you get a taste of Italy with a twist on the usual Italian fare. Roman- born chef Antonio Randazzo takes the flavors of both the bayou and Italy to bring you unique flavors. He has turned Capitol Street into your very own local Italian café and market.

Randazzo’s Italian Market recently expanded their catering business and has added tables to an outdoor patio to accommodate more customers.

“We emphasize the freshness of all our dishes,” Kyla Randazzo explained, “and everything is authentically Italian. We make our pasta and sauces fresh every day, and we bake our ciabatta bread two or three times daily. Our meats are sliced fresh for each order, because pre-slicing changes the flavor.”

Randazzo’s sells Italian wines by the bottle and a house wine by the glass, and all of the wines are from Tuscany. They offer free wine-tasting evenings (see their website for dates of the wine tastings).

Customers can check out their selection of gift items such as wine corks, fleur de lis items, decanters, ceramics and leather jackets for unique gifts.

Whether choosing dine-in, takeout or catering, you’ll appreciate the care taken to create every dish.

Randazzo’s Italian Market is located in an older home on a large lot on the corner of Capitol and Audubon streets, just one block off Florida Blvd. They’re open Tuesdays through Thursdays 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays 10:30 a.m.-8 p.m.; closed on Sundays and Mondays. Call them at 225-667-4557.
